Serbian citizen Srdjan Vusurovic, who was detained by members of the Special Police Team two days ago in Podgorica, is suspected of planning the liquidation of Aleksandar Jabucanin. The Serb had a weapon with 14 bullets during the arrest, while one was in the barrel, writes the Montenegrin “Dan”.

Vusurovic, who was arrested shortly before the execution took place, wore several layers of clothing during the arrest. According to the investigating authorities, the idea was that some of the clothing could be thrown away when it was liquidated. He also didn’t have a cell phone with him.

Last name changed

A few minutes after the arrest, a Jabucanin appeared in front of the building, who is believed to be a potential victim. As he learns from “Dan” from Podgorica, Vušurović used to have the surname Đorđević, but changed his surname.

During a hearing with Special Prosecutor Sasa Cadjenovic, Vusurovic denied the criminal charges against him and accused the police of beating him to obtain a confession. So he asked someone from the Serbian Embassy to go to the prosecutor’s office to make sure that the prosecutor would declare the violations.

The Serbian embassy unofficially announced that they were summoned to the prosecution on that occasion, but that they could not give details because it is a case marked as secret.

Vušurović was also in the Emergency Center, where the doctor made a report and, according to unofficial information, he had bruises under his eyes. It is not known if he suffered injuries in the police, as he claims, or before, so, by order of the prosecutor, it will be determined by a medical expert.

Montenegrin Police

As already written, on the day of the arrest, the police received a report that a suspicious person was found in front of the building near the Vizier’s Bridge, where the person believed to be the target lives.

Members of the Montenegrin task force immediately arrived and identified a younger person who had documents in his name in the name of Srdjan Vusurovic. They confiscated her purse and found a gun without a serial number. A few minutes later, a young man who was supposed to be killed passed by. Vušurović was arrested at the same time, and members of the police went to the apartment where a Serb was staying who is believed to be close to the “scalp clan”.

During questioning at the police, Vušurović said that he had nothing to do with the planning of the killings and that he did not know the young man who, according to police suspicions, should have been the target.

Who ordered the murder?

Inspectors from the task force and the Police Administration broke into the apartment across the street from Block Five and, according to unofficial information, found encrypted phones. The authorities will examine whether Vušurović had assistants and accomplices in all this. Furthermore, the investigative actions must determine whether Vušurović should have committed the murder and under whose orders.

As “Pobjeda” writes, the detained person occasionally stayed in Cetinje and was mainly in Serbia. According to the information, her mother is from Cetinje, her father is a citizen of Serbia and bears her mother’s surname. It is unofficially said that Serbian investigators know him.

Has Jabucanin been a target before?

Aleksandar Jabučanin has been the target of an assassination attempt in Cetinje before. He was later wounded with several bullets, but managed to survive the attack. The suspect Srdjan Vušurović justified the illegal possession of the weapon by the defense by saying that he acquired it for personal safety and that he was not a member of the clans, as well as that he did not intend to kill anyone.

The potential victim, as “Pobjeda” writes, is not a member of criminal clans, but is allegedly in friendly relations with a person from the “Kavač clan”.
