Tonight, the Belgrade High Court ordered the detention of up to 30 days for those suspected of complicity in the murder of Bojan Mirković (34) 10 days ago in the Belgrade neighborhood of Belleville, IN (39) and BK (37).
They were placed in preventive custody for all legal reasons, for the danger of escape, not to influence the witnesses, not to repeat the crime, as well as for public harassment.
The two, along with another person whose identification is in process, are accused of the crime of aggravated homicide in a cruel and insidious manner of complicity, the spokeswoman for the prosecution, Irena Bjelos, told Tanjug today.
This crime is punishable by life imprisonment.
The direct author of the murder is, for now, an unidentified person who, after committing the crime, left the place by bicycle.
At the hearing, IN denied the commission of the criminal offense and did not present his defense further, and the suspect BK presented his defense and questioned the actions for which he is charged.
The prosecution, which requested custody, suspects that from the beginning of November until the day of the execution on November 12, the suspects followed Mirković with a special device to locate his movement.
They did so due to the liquidation of the now deceased Bojan Mirkovic, who was hit by at least eight bullets from a firearm.
When filing the arrest appeal, the public demand took into account, among other things, the seriousness of the crime, the manner of execution, the fact that the crime was committed during the day, in a densely populated residential building, at a time in which a large number of people circulated. as well as cruelty and insidiousness in the manner of their execution.
They were arrested on Saturday morning in Jakovo, near Belgrade, and another suspect is being searched, whose identity has not been released, police announced today.
IN is from Nikšić, residing in Belgrade, and BK is from Belgrade.
The material evidence collected determined the role of each of the arrested persons. The police ordered them to be detained for 48 hours, after which they will be handed over to the Belgrade High Prosecutor’s Office with further criminal charges and further proceedings.
The members of the Ministry of the Interior continue to work to clarify all the circumstances of this case.
Mirkovic was assassinated on Thursday, November 12, in the garage of a building in Belleville, New Belgrade.
On that occasion, he was carrying false documents with another name, and the murderers managed to escape.
