Sava Krstić (93) from Donji Dušnik village near Gadžin Han was brutally murdered between Sunday and Monday for, as he is supposed to be, selfishness. According to Biljana Pešić, brother and caretaker of his uncle Slobodan Krstić, when a police officer found him, he was lying on his side in a pool of blood on the bed. A blow to the head was crucial to the death of this excellent and well-meaning craftsman.
Miljan J. (22) is a suspect of this crime in the Superior Public Ministry, and he will be charged with the crime of aggravated homicide. He was in preventive detention for up to 48 hours and will be questioned during that period. It is presumed that he was under the influence of alcohol when he assaulted an innocent grandfather, who was his neighbor, because their houses are 500 meters away.
According to information from the town, Milan J. was with his friends at home and after they ran out of drinks, he allegedly went to Sava because he knew he had alcohol. The prosecution will investigate how the conflict occurred and how he was killed.
“We were relieved when this guy was arrested because he didn’t even go to the store without a knife. He had committed several crimes before. Somehow, we are sure and not that he killed Sava,” says Biljana Pesic, adding:
“Sava was a good man and had a slightly higher pension than the others, but he had no money in the house, everything was in the Postal Savings Bank, so he collected everything he needed.”
This is also confirmed by Sava’s uncle’s brother, Slobodan Krstić.
Savina’s daughter, Gordana Cvetanović, who lives in Niš, says that she should have turned 94 on January 1, that he was an extremely vital man and that he helped everyone in the village.
“Dad was vital, both physically and mentally. A policeman from Gadžin Han visited him and he came on Sunday night and Monday. A policeman called me, brought the key and said, ‘Come out front.’ stabbed., but they told us he was not stabbed but hit by some blunt object. I am not sure that someone killed him for money. And so far they have stolen everything: chainsaws, grinders, brandy … Someone entered meadows from below ” Gordana Cvetanović said, referring to Miljan’s arrest:
“I know that young man, of course, he’s in the neighborhood. He was constantly robbing dad.”
One of Sava’s first neighbors, Milan Nikolic, says nothing was heard from the house or the workshop. He adds that the system failed in that case because Miljan J. had committed various crimes for a long time. Due to frequent robberies, the unfortunate Sava also installed cameras, probably to intimidate thieves. At Donji Duušnik, everyone has words of praise for this machinist who lost his life in a painful way.
