After false and unverified news, which resounded on media portals today, in which it is claimed that Patriarch Irinej passed away as a result of the corona virus, even more scandalous speculation emerged about who would be the next patriarch.

Members of the opposition predict Bishop Grigorije as the next Patriarch.

The information that Irinej’s health is extremely poor was also confirmed by Aleksandar Vučić, the President of Serbia, at a press conference held on the occasion of police exercises in the event of a terrorist attack.
