MUP: Stojanovic murder solved, suspect’s identity known

An international arrest warrant is being issued, as he is not only a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, the Interior Ministry announced today.

It is suspected that on 13 September this year, in the morning hours, ML went by electric bicycle from an apartment in Vraar to an underground garage in New Belgrade, where he placed an improvised explosive device in an SS car.

He is suspected of remotely activating the explosive device, which he placed in his lower body under the driver’s seat, around 12:00 on the same day, and SS soon died of his injuries.

The police, by order of the Higher Public Ministry, filed a criminal complaint against ML on suspicion that he committed the crime of aggravated homicide.

In cooperation with other state bodies, an international arrest warrant is being issued, as the suspect is not just a citizen of the Republic of Serbia.

Earlier today, Interior Minister Neboja Stefanovi praised the police, who shed light on the case.

“Through serious and good work, the members of the police, in collaboration with the Belgrade Superior Prosecutor’s Office, managed to identify the perpetrator of this crime and gather enough evidence to file a criminal complaint,” Stefanovi said, according to the Ministry. inland.

As Stefanovi explained, the suspect is not just a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, therefore, in cooperation with other state bodies, an international arrest warrant is being issued.

The Minister thanked the members of the criminal police of the Belgrade City Police Administration and the Public Ministry of Viem, who, as he said, with good cooperation and hard work managed to shed light on the murder that upset the citizens of Serbia, because it happened in a horrible way.

Stefanovi also recalled that the police, through their efficient work in the previous weeks, quickly shed light on two murders that took place in that period, as well as a 2009 murder.

“Police professionals have shown that they can successfully solve even the most complex cases and the most serious crime curves,” concluded Stefanovi.
