Today, the Minister of Culture and Information, Maja Gojković, was brought to another case about museum robbery.

The theft in question was committed during December 2016 at the Museum of Yugoslavia by a person hired by an employment contract at the company “Dobergard” together with “Dobergard – plus”, which was in charge of the physical and technical security of the institution. . .

It is clear from the case that the accused entered into an agreement on the recognition of the crime of aggravated theft and was sentenced by final verdict. From the list of articles, it was determined that the perpetrator of the criminal act stole the personal belongings of Josip Broz Tito and a tray and a glass with the image of Heil Selassie.

Based on the damage caused, the company “Dobergard” paid 3,250,607.16 dinars to the account of the Ministry of Finance.

The Ministry recalls that the procedure related to the theft of valuables from the collection of the Museum of Applied Arts is in process, where the accused is also an employee of the “Dobergard” company, which still lends that Museum.
