The murder of Dragoslav Miša Ognjanović’s lawyer returned to the center of public attention, with the arrest of a group gathered around Veljko Belivuk called Veljko Nevolj and Marko Miljković, their names began to be mentioned again.

The investigation into Ognjanovic’s murder could be completed because some of the arrested members of the Velja Nevolja group are ready to tell all about this crime about their privileged situation, Belgrade media recently wrote.

Apparently, there are strong indications that people who were related to the arrested Darko Elez organized the murder of Ognjanović. According to the source of a Belgrade newspaper, members of Belivuk’s team also participated in this crime in some indirect way. Starting in that bloody July 2018, when a well-known lawyer was assassinated, some of their closer cooperation began, which was supposed to end with a kind of criminal “merger.”

Ognjanovic’s murder upset the public on July 28, 3 years ago, because he was killed in front of his son, on the doorstep of his home in New Belgrade.

How was a famous Belgrade lawyer assassinated?

The lawyer Miša Ognjanović was followed for almost ten kilometers before the murderer fatally shot him in front of his apartment on Anfifašističke borbe street.

On the fateful night, the lawyer was in a restaurant in the center of Belgrade with his son. It is assumed that when he left and went home, he was followed by the murderer or his accomplice. The restaurant and Mishim Dom were about 10 kilometers away, and he was killed in a dark corridor of buildings where there are not even cameras that can help in the investigation.

At the beginning of the investigation, it was suspected that Ognjanović was indeed followed a few weeks before the liquidation, and that the killer and his accomplices had already learned their habits well. Especially if it is known that less than two months earlier, Ognjanović and his wife moved to a new address on Antifašističke borbe street in New Belgrade.

As soon as the lawyer and his 27-year-old son Petar got out of the car and headed toward the building, the killer approached them and shot Misha. The wounded lawyer fell, and his son, when a bullet struck him in the fist, lifted him. The killer had already started to walk away from them, but he turned around, looked at them, and when he saw that Miša was still alive, he returned and fired five more shots at the lawyer.

The investigation into his murder went in several directions, and it was assumed that Ognjanović was probably another in a series of victims from the Kavač and Škaljar clan.

Even after three years, his killer was not discovered and, as witnesses said after the crime, the liquidator had a black cap on his head and was later connected to Strahinja Stojanović, who was murdered last year.

Stojanovic died last year in September when an explosive device was placed under his car. His girlfriend, the Colombian Sonja Suárez Gómez, was in the vehicle with him and fortunately was slightly injured at the time.

By the way, during the investigation of the lawyer’s murder, it was determined that at least two people followed Ognjanović before the liquidation, one of them was Stojanović.

Represented Bojović

Dragoslav Ognjanović represented Luka Bojović, who was at war with the late brothers Branislav and Slobodan Šaranović. The conflict between the two families began in 2009, when the son of Danilo Radonjić, the godfather of the Šaranović family, disappeared. It is believed that he was last seen in the company of the now deceased Luka Đurović, Bojović’s partner. Branislav Sharanovic, killed in October 2009 in Dedinje, joined the search for the missing. Then his brother vowed to avenge him, which he did in April 2013, when Nikola Bojović, Luka’s own brother, was killed in Belgrade. Four years later, Slobodan Sharanović was liquidated in Budva. In the last three months alone, three people close to Luka Bojović have been killed in Belgrade. Slobodan Sharanović allegedly made a list for shooting people close to Bojović after his brother’s murder, and Ognjanović was allegedly on that list.
