The well-known sports journalist Aleksandar Aca Mihajlović passed away on February 10, at the age of 68, and was cremated on Thursday in the New Belgrade Cemetery.
Sports journalism was left without a significant creator of the written word to test journalism successfully.
He began his journalistic career in the eighties of the last century in the Pobeda newspaper and on Radio Kruševac. He has successfully worked for Politika, Sportski zurnal, NIN and Svedok magazines, and has also published articles in British World Soccer. He was a reporter for the most important soccer and other sports events and competitions in the country and in the world.
He has also published several books on sports journalism, the most important of which are the Soccer Dictionary (in four languages) and the main work History and Theory of Soccer.
Aleksandar Aca Mihajlović was born on August 7, 1953 in Kruševac, where he finished secondary school, and then the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education in Belgrade.
He played soccer for Sloga, Napredak, Rijeka and Treviso as a center forward.
