He said on TV Prva’s “Prva theme” program that “Belgrade will certainly not recognize Kosovo” until April 2022, when the presidential elections will be held in Serbia.

Reacting to Vučić’s assessment, political science professor and former ambassador to Berlin Ivo Visković said “no” should never be said in politics, but assessed that recognition of Kosovo “certainly will not be for the foreseeable future.”

The co-chair of the Igman Initiative, Milan Antonijevic, also believes that “in the short future” there will be no recognition of Kosovo.

“America’s position on Kosovo will not change”

Vučić also said that the United States will not change its position on Kosovo, whatever administration is in power, while Visković noted that the Biden administration will push for a solution in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

“It is true that they are losing patience, but Serbia manages to resist and postpone,” Vucic said on “Prva” television.

He added that the US position on Kosovo will not change.

Viskovic noted that it is realistic to expect the new administration in Washington to push for a solution for Kosovo.

“We must speak out at every opportunity, even when they say or do something that does not favor us,” he said.

“The people of Bosnia and Herzegovina decide for Dayton”

Tonight, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, assessed that the change to the Dayton Agreement is being questioned and, in accordance with the provisions of that agreement and the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, three constituent peoples and two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina decide, neither the Igman Initiative, nor the President of Serbia.

On the “Prva theme” program on TV Prva, Vučić said that there should be a consensus on a possible change to the Dayton Agreement and there should not be a new vote, and evaluated that the ideas of creating a functional state of Bosnia and Herzegovina are ” pressures directed in the other direction. ” “Reduction of the powers of the Republika Srpska”.

The fundamental objective is to deprive the Republika Srpska of its powers and competences, and not to make Bosnia and Herzegovina a functional state, Vučić assessed.

Vučić: Serbia is a neutral military state, it will not join NATO

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić declared tonight that Serbia is a neutral military state and will not join NATO.

Vučić told Prva TV that he believes this is the “best position” to protect the state.

The professor of the Faculty of Political Science, Ivo Visković, said that he did not see Serbia in NATO in the near future, but estimated that in the future it would depend on what happens in the world.

Igman Initiative co-chair Milan Antonijevic stated that he does not see Serbia in NATO now, but that Serbia’s entry into that alliance is “something that can happen in the foreseeable future.”

Vučić reiterated that as long as he is the president of Serbia, there will be no recognition of Kosovo and Metohija.

“Until April 2022, when the presidential and parliamentary elections will be held in Serbia, Belgrade will certainly not recognize the independence of Kosovo,” the president said.

Speaking of the insults against the actors in the parliamentary debate, Vučić stated that he did not know that the deputy of the Serbian Progressive Party, Marko Atlagić, told the actor Dragan Bjelogrlić to leave Serbia.

“I didn’t know that. I think it’s terrible and it’s wrong if he said that,” Vučić said.

Speaking about the dialogue between the government and the opposition, Viskovic suggested that Telecom broadcast NovaS and N1, as well as the cable operator SBB, as he said, that people have a remote control to be able to obtain information.

“It gives citizens the opportunity to see everything and decide what to believe,” he said.

Vučić replied that Telecom offered retransmissions to these televisions, but that 20 million euros were requested for this.

Speaking about the coronavirus vaccines, Vučić said that the “Pfizer” vaccines will arrive soon in Serbia, but that a smaller number will arrive than expected.

He said he expects a mass vaccination “soon” but cannot speak specifically.

“We will not be anybody’s guinea pigs, these are good and safe vaccines,” Vucic said.
