BELGRADE – Decisions to change Srbijagas and EPS were made by the Serbian Government and all the ministers voted in favor, so there are no personal relationships, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic said today, saying that these changes should bring benefits to the economy. and energy from Serbia.
“I could choose to move out of the ministry for a year and a half and do only good things, I chose the second path: do the best I can and do everything I can to improve the energy sector and make it more efficient, and I will not stop there.” Mihajlović emphasized.
She told K1 television that the success of the state and energy depends on the work of the directors of public companies, and that things will be solved in a systematic way.
“We want profitable and powerful public companies in the energy sector. That is why we seek changes, that businesses are transparent and efficient, that projects and investments that are envisioned are seen, that activities are separated, that Transportgas is licensed, “he said.
Remember that a working group was formed to help Srbijagas implement reforms.
If that doesn’t work, we will discuss in the government session that other people will take over the job, says Mihajlović, saying that directors must understand that they are not stronger than the state and that they are not gods.
Mihajlovic also referred to articles in certain media, saying that some interest groups want to avoid change and that money is the number one interest.
“It is an attempt to marginalize what is really important, to say that it is a women’s issue. If there were a man in my place who is determined to implement reforms, I am not sure what would go through the media like that. And so, they say it is a woman The energy sector has been asleep for a long time, it has gotten used to not working, now we are waking them up and the state will help implement the changes ”.
I have nothing against the coalition with the SPS, but I am against some phenomena, such as a company that makes us losses and does not generate profits, Mihajlović pointed out.
Speaking of the changes in the boards of directors and supervision of public companies, the deputy prime minister said that Serbian representatives should be taken into account because they directly affect the business of those companies.
“It is a proposal from the ministry, I do not know if the government will accept it. We believe that new and better people should come. I cannot measure the result of how much the experience of current members has contributed to the business, I have not had the opportunity to see a single document from the Serbian members “. “I must admit that the ministry has not dealt with these people until now,” Mihajlovic said.
