The trial of Muhović, Senad (37) and Muberi (35), for the brutal murder of Anel Papić (32) in Sjenica, in June 2017, continued with the testimony of medical experts before the High Court of Novi Pazar.
Presenting their findings, the experts stated that Papić suffered various injuries to all parts of the head, including fractures of the skull and jaw bones, as well as hand injuries that, according to their conclusion, occurred during the defense attempt. , states “Novosti”.
On the basis of the injuries sustained, the experts could not conclude whether all the injuries were inflicted on Papić by one or more people, nor by what they caused him.
Medical experts agreed that these types of injuries are caused by blunt objects, so they do not rule out the possibility that the murderer or more of them used a metal bar, a wooden stick or a stone.
The autopsy of the body of the murdered Papić did not reveal any trace of soot or smoke in the respiratory organs, indicating that it was set on fire after the murder, but the judicial expert did not rule out the possibility that he could be alive at that time because everything happened to the weather.
The couple are accused of brutally killing and then burning Anel Papić, Muber’s lover, three years ago.
They are accused of luring Anela to the area of the Ponorac village, where he had previously been with Muber, then they attacked him and inflicted 27 blows on him with a blunt object.
It is suspected that they then dragged him into a nearby bush and tried to set it on fire. The mutilated and burned body of the young man was found a day later, when the Muhović had already left Serbia and were in Germany, where they had lived for years.
After it was announced that they were the main suspects in the murder, they decided to return to Serbia and were arrested ten days later at the Horgos border crossing, at the entrance to the country.
As they fled, they said they had nothing to do with the crime, and promised to tell the investigating authorities everything they knew.
However, during the investigation and trial, Muber defended himself in silence, while Senad presented his defense claiming that he did not kill Anel.
