Russian military experts who traveled to Mostar today to carry out the disinfection remained at the Rača border crossing because Serbia was not allowed into Bosnia and Herzegovina. The President of the People’s Chamber of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly and the President of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) BiH invited them to carry out “decontamination and disinfection” at the Clinical Hospital of the University of Mostar.
However, the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina have decided that members of the Russian armed forces, that is, foreign military forces, cannot enter the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina without their consent, reports Radio Sarajevo. The information that Russian military experts were unable to enter BiH was released today by the Croatian Media Service, close to the HDZ BiH party, calling this decision “shameful”.
The Russian Embassy in Sarajevo previously approached the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, requesting permission to enter a team of 24 members and five ABHO decontamination and disinfection military vehicles to assist the hospital in Mostar, at the request of Covic .
Approval for the entry of the Russian team, which in recent weeks helped Serbia and the Republika Srpska to suppress the crown virus, was not given yesterday by the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sifet Podzic, reports Radio Sarajevo.
“The Ministry of Defense is not competent to give permission for the entry of the armed forces of another state into the territory of BiH, and we do not know that the BiH Presidency has taken the decision to approve the entry of Russian military medical teams into the BiH territory, they were hired, “Podzic said.
