Members of the Ministry of the Interior of the Directorate of Criminal Police, in cooperation with the Special Department for the Suppression of Corruption of the Kraljevo High Prosecutor’s Office, arrested three people on suspicion of corrupt criminal acts.
Due to the existence of grounds to suspect that he committed the crime of bribery, AZ (1981), customs inspector in Kragujevac, VN (1988), legal representative of a company in Čačak, was arrested on suspicion of committing the crime of bribery, as well as the head of the branch. Sociedad MM (1984), on suspicion of having committed the crime of bribery in complicity.
It is suspected that AZ, on several occasions during 2020, took money, delivered by VN, through the suspect MM, in order to influence the efficiency and speed of customs procedures in relation to the cases of the aforementioned company that are being bringing before the customs authorities.
The suspects, along with the criminal complaint, were transferred to the competent prosecutor’s office.
