Sjenica – The Filurija family from the village of Vrbnica on the Peshterska plateau will remember this winter forever. They lost the head of the family, but in the most difficult period possible, because the snow that blocked the road blocked them, so they buried the deceased after three days, carrying him on his back to the town cemetery.
That problem never goes away on its own, these people from Peshter confirm, because now the mother, who cannot get medical help, has fallen ill again, again down the inaccessible road.
– We are desperate, yesterday they came to clean, they only broke a few meters of the road and then the cleaner turned and left. Our mother has been in bed for three days and I don’t think she will survive easily, she is literally struggling with life. If the machine had cleared the road as it should yesterday, we probably could have gotten Sjenica’s doctor out of this misfortune. We are powerless like that, we are on guard by his bed and we are waiting for him to die – said Dragan Filurija.
Snowy mountaineers ask for help, because they cannot overcome such a difficult situation on their own, and they characterized the reasons why the cleaner did not clean the road as incredible.
– The man who was driving the car said that when we don’t vote for the SDA, we don’t even need the road to be cleaned. We are shocked and cannot believe it is possible for such people to exist, knowing that the helpless old woman is in bed. We had no idea that something like this could happen to us. It is inhumane for the local authorities to send these people to supposedly help us and they blackmail us and harm us. I buried my father yesterday, now I will be without my mother, we are powerless – Dragan says breathlessly.
