The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, visited the works of the new Kovid hospital in Kruševac.

Ministers Nebojsa Stefanovic and Zlatibor Loncar, as well as BIA Director Bratislav Gasic, were also present in front of the Kovid hospital.

During the visit, the president pointed out that there are a growing number of patients in this part of Serbia, so this hospital will be of great importance. He also spoke to workers in passing.

– You know what Zlatibor is doing to them … People are working to finish on time, and Zlatibor remembered a month ago that they need something more, and 15 days ago something more – commented President Vučić jokingly.

The president commented that a large number of volunteers applied for this kovid hospital in Kruševac, as well as in Batajnica, for which he is grateful to everyone. He also spoke with a worker who had covid and thanked him for continuing to work after recovery.

– We are facing countless problems, it is not easy to build a hospital like this in a short time. For the first time, the company that does this is facing the demands demanded by the State. Here it is certain that we will finish the works no later than December 20, and we expect to finish the works on December 16. In three days we will have the first patients in Bataknica. The fight is for every day that we do not finish on time – said President Vučić.

– I thank the brave doctors and nurses from Kruševac, many of whom also became infected. I came here tonight to show that we care about the health of our people. I am sorry that we have not built a third hospital, somewhere near Zrenjanin, people should know that we will bring 150 new ventilators here, 250 to Belgrade, Vučić noted, adding that one of the most difficult weeks awaits us.

– We have one of the most difficult weeks ahead. Today’s numbers, after the last count, are already bad. We cannot close everything, if we close everything in Serbia, I don’t know from where we will have everything to pay – said Vučić.

The president of Serbia also referred to the attack on Dr. Kon.

– A man works every day and does not earn anything from it. Kon, but also all the other members of the crisis staff are fighting for our citizens. In Serbia, you have to find the culprit of everything, although these people are not guilty of anything. Dr. Kono was transferred first because of his Jewish origin, and then because he did not understand anything. And who understands? – Vučić pointed out.

Vučić emphasized that he expects the level of public debt to reduce a bit before the end of the year.

– It’s great news – says Vučić.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Finance, Serbia’s public debt stands at 56.7 percent of GDP at the end of September.

When journalists asked him to comment on the offices at the expense of his children, the president noted that it is his job to put up with such harsh words, but also that it is not his children’s job.

– With the force of arguments and seriousness, we show how much we work for our country. I have never sued anyone for these attacks. My job is to put up with those harsh words, but it is by no means my children’s job. I think they are good children, I try to be objective, for me they are definitely the best in the world. The fact that someone says they are bad, ducks, holograms, I still love them more in the world – noted Vučić.

The president went to Krusevac after speaking with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic.

It should be remembered that on Friday, November 24, the president of Serbia also visited the construction works of a new covid hospital in Batajnica, which should be inaugurated on December 1 and receive the first patients a day later.

Kovid’s new hospital in Batajnica will employ 1,500 medical workers, and in Krusevac 900. In Batajnica, since the hospital has intensive and semi-intensive care units, patients with a severe or moderate clinical picture will be treated, but also to those with a milder picture, otherwise there will be room elsewhere to settle.

Also, tomorrow at 12 noon there will be a session of the Crisis Staff, in which the current epidemiological situation in the country and possible new measures will be discussed. The main theme of the meeting could be the return of our citizens from abroad for the next vacation.
