Today, Dr. Darija Kisić Tepavčević and epidemiologist Predrag Kon sat in front of journalists.

The first to address the audience was Darija Kisić, who said that the epidemiological situation was better than in the recent past.

– We have fewer and fewer laboratory-confirmed cases and an increasingly stable epidemiological situation. However, we must take care of people who are reservoirs of infection, that is, people who are carriers of the virus without symptoms. For that reason, he had to adhere to all the protection measures that we have practiced so far – said Kisić.

He mentioned that we have to take more care of ourselves than before for the start of the school year.

– We have to be responsible because that is the only way to fight the virus.

Predrag Kon said there was no doubt that the situation in Belgrade was calming down.

– The activity of the virus is at a lower level. However, apart from the fact that the number of people who come to kovid’s ambulance is much lower, we still discovered about twenty positive cases. This means that the situation stabilizes at a low level, but the virus is with us. Now calls for attention to protection must be stronger – said Kon.

The epidemiologist commented on the start of schools.

-It is very important what happens outside of school because it affects the permanence in school. I constantly call it an uncertain epidemiological situation, although the term sounds too strong, I mean that we have enough excess for the virus to spread in two weeks. Schools are safe places, but if the work in them is well organized. The impressions of the crisis personnel are solid for now – concluded Kon.

The Trampoline Institute has formed a special team, which monitors the situation, and has made a clear algorithm for dealing with the situation worse.

Darija Kisić stated that there are currently no areas defined as hotspots.

– We do not have any area that we can define as a place with an intensive transmission area and these are sporadic cases. It is essential that we comply with all preventive measures, because fewer patients are not a sign that we should stop caring for ourselves, Kisićka said.
