The message from the EU has never been clearer that Kosovo is NOT a STATE for them

It is known that Kosovo is not treated as a sovereign state in the European Union (EU), but EU officials have always relativized the issue by speaking of the European perspective.

The text of the Pristina “Kohe” states that, however, it has never been so clearly stated that so-called Kosovo is not an EU state and that it cannot apply for EU membership, as the spokesperson for the EU did recently. UE Peter Stano at a conference for journalists, reports “Kosovo Online”.

“Koha” recalls that Stano said this responding to the question of whether the so-called Kosovo can apply for EU membership, since it is now part of the obligation in documents signed in Washington, where it was promised that membership would not be sought in international organizations.

Stano did not want to comment on what happened in Washington, saying that it is about the parties to the agreements, and not the EU, but he limited himself to clarifying the possibility of the so-called Kosovo requesting accession to the EU.

– Regarding your question as to whether Kosovo will be able to apply to join the EU, I am afraid I must remind you of the fact that there are still five Member States that have not recognized this. Kosovo cannot yet submit a formal application for EU membership, the EU spokesperson said, adding that the so-called Kosovo has a clear European perspective.
