Continuity and new energy are expected from Ana Brnabić’s new cabinet. But also return to service as soon as possible.
Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said that the entire process of electing a new government should be completed in the next two weeks.
“What awaits the new prime minister together with the president is the election of new members of the Government, specific names and surnames, who will lead which department,” says Mali.
Subsequently, he will continue working on economic reforms, strengthening of the health system, and a foreign policy course. In the course of the original appointment, for many, surprising of Ana Brnabić, analysts expect surprises this time too.
Zoran Panović, Demostat’s program director, says that when the last government was formed when Ana Brnabić became prime minister, it was a success and now we have to find a success.
“I think it could be a ministry solution, not as sensational as when Ana became prime minister, but the fact that 50 percent of women will be in government is kind of a success,” Panovic said.
The second, conditionally beaten, are departments that did not exist in the previous call. Not so much the care of the family, children and demographics, which Slavica Đukić Dejanović handled within the Ministry without portfolio, as a department of human rights, gender equality and social dialogue.
A similar one existed in the Government from 2008 to 2011 and in the Council of Ministers of Serbia and Montenegro from 2003 to 2006, but the future ministry, for our interlocutors, is important due to the current circumstances.
“It could address a number of issues with Chapter 23 in the negotiation process with the European Union, which has slowed down significantly, and in two, this ministry could somehow take on the role of reducing polarization in society and perhaps initiate the internal dialogue, which is started last year, “says Bojan Klačar from Cesid.
With various changes determined, it is still uncertain from which parties the ministers will be chosen. So far, almost every combination has been mentioned: SNS with Shapic’s SPAS and minorities, with socialists and minorities, only with minorities or a concentration government.
“My expectations that in addition to the coalition around the SNS, which will certainly form the government, there will also be the SPS. I expect Shapic in some kind of coalition, either at the City or Republic level, we will see, but I certainly hope so with the ruling coalition. and with the government, “says Vladimir Pejić of” Factor Plus “.
“If Dacic comes in, Shapic wouldn’t come in. I think it’s just a matter of mere formality, because in this parliament, realistically, there is no opposition,” says Panovic.
In the June 21 elections, the progressives won an absolute majority, followed by the SPS-JS coalition and SPAS. In addition to them, four minority parties also won seats.
