This was confirmed today for the RINA agency from the monastery of Saint Nicholas of Myra in Jelica near Čačak.

On the website of this diocese it was announced that “The Holy Liturgy on the occasion of the rest of the blessed Bishop of Raska and Prizren in exile Artemije will be served on Monday, November 23, 2020, at the Nova Nikeja monastery in Lelić, starting from 9 am it will begin at 12 pm The body of the bishop will be exposed in the chapel of the monastery all the time until the funeral “.

In the Jelica monastery, by the way, the brotherhood of the diocese of Raska and Prizren in exile is praying today.

There, in June 2010, the fraternity of the Crna Reka monastery near Ribarić was received, which abandoned its old church, following the decision of the Serbian Orthodox Church to deprive Artemije of the title of bishop of Raška and Prizren and assign him a new residence in Šišatovac in Fruška gora.

The space and property for the Crna Reka monk’s escape were donated by Miloje Stevanović, a businessman from Čačak, who had previously built an ethnic settlement there.

Every year after that, the Assembly of the Diocese of Raska and Prizren in exile was held there, with the presence of several thousand believers.

In 2010, the Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church removed Bishop Artemije of Raska and Prizren from that position, then he was returned to the rank of monk, and in 2015 he was expelled from the Serbian Orthodox Church.
