Protective measures such as quarantine and self-isolation in the first kovida-19 attack contributed to a sharp increase in interest in buying cabins.

The Republic Geodetic Authority recently announced in a semi-annual report that in the first six months of 2020, interest in buying cabins increased by almost 40 percent, compared to the same period last year. Surveyors claimed 551 contracts were concluded, mainly in the Vojvodina region, writes Dnevnik.

When reading the semi-annual report, it can be seen that the weekend houses were the best marketed in Srem, since most of the sales contracts were concluded in the municipality of Indjija – 98, then in Novi Sad – 35, in Sremski Karlovci – 28 …

Although it is not indicated where the holiday homes are located, except that no significant number of sales were recorded in the three attractive locations, the holiday homes are known to have been built in weekend resorts near the Danube in Fruška gora and close to special nature reserves.

Sales of country houses with prices above 20,000 euros are said to have increased notably, which may indicate that house prices have risen, that new owners have opted for higher value properties and that the epidemic of coronavirus has influenced that.

The value of the purchase and sale contracts is by no means small and, if internal circumstances are taken into account, it can be concluded that we have financially rich people who are easily willing to reserve a large amount of money for occasional stays in this type of property.

The report shows that the most valuable vacation properties are in Srem. The most expensive country house was sold in Indjija, for 200,000 euros and in Irig for 130,000 euros. A significantly lower amount, 50,000 euros, was paid for a weekend home in Beocin. In Bačka, in Novi Sad, the most expensive weekend house cost 111,000 euros, and for almost two and a half times less, the most expensive weekend house in Banat, in Bela Crkva, was sold for 49,000 euros.

Apart from the prices, no other details are listed, so there is no data on how many cabins have rooms, bathrooms, where there is a view from the terraces, and the size of the plot is not known, nor if there is a garden and what makes it . At the same time, buyers found cabins at much lower prices.

The cheapest costs only 1,000 euros. The purchase contract was made in the area of the city of Zrenjanin.

A country house in the Subotica city area sold for just 5,000 euros, and in Irig, where the most expensive country house was sold, a vacation home for just 3,100 euros found a buyer.

Zlatibor is the most expensive, Golubac the cheapest

Weekend house prices in the wider area of the country are significantly higher, so in the first half of 2020, the most expensive weekend house in Zlatibor was sold – 253,000 euros.

Prices are followed by a weekend house in Grocka, for which the buyer paid 150,000 euros.

The most expensive weekend house in Sopot cost 69,000 euros. At a much lower price -29,000 euros- a country house was sold in Golubac, which is considered an increasingly attractive tourist destination due to the proximity of a medieval fortress, recently completely renovated.
