SERBS EXPELLED, NOW “AFRAID” OF THEIR INVASIONS: Debate in parliament on the alleged threat of Albanians in northern Kosovo and Metohija

Their sole objective is not to infiltrate that part of Kosovo where they have always been a small minority and where they hardly existed. Behind it all is a plan to drop allegations of ethnic cleansing of Serbs from their century-old area, all before the indictment against the so-called leader. KLA.

Thus, the political representatives of the Serbs explain why, at this very moment, the Albanian deputies opened a debate on “expulsion and discrimination” in the north of Kosovo. Two days ago, complaints could be heard in the Pristina parliament that in the north “there are about 500 Albanian properties occupied by Serbs”, that “Serbia continues its colonization by building 300 houses in the Sunny Valley where 1,500 Serbian Serbs will live” , that Belgrade has a “draft of plans to bring in more Serbs” …

Igor Simić, vice president of the Serbian List and head of the party’s parliamentary club in the Kosovo Assembly, tells “Novosti” that the issue was opened with a clear political objective and incorrect data.

– It is not uncommon for municipalities in the north and north to be the target of various unfounded accusations in the Kosovo Assembly. This attacks all Serbs, which is sad because the aim of such accusations is to divert the public’s attention from the real problems of citizens.

Therefore, Simic decided to address citizens who do not live in the north of Kosovo and Metohija directly from the parliamentary platform and who could be misled due to incorrect data:

– As I was preparing for this debate, I thought whether it would ever be possible in this assembly to discuss the disenfranchisement of Serbs in Gjilan, Peja, Gjakova, Prizren, Pristina, South Mitrovica, and I understand that it is impossible. Because there are almost no Serbs there, especially when we talk about the urban areas of these municipalities.

THE MACEDONIANS KEEP THE DECAN

A contingent of 44 soldiers from the “Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu” barracks in Tetovo, North Macedonia, joined the NATO-led KFOR MISSION in Kosovo. His tasks, as stated in the announcement of the KFOR command from Pristina, will be to patrol and secure the Visoki Decani monastery, as well as the “Villaggio Italia” field, which is the headquarters of the Western Regional Command in Peja.

– The rest of the contingent will work as staff officers in the KFOR General Staff in Pristina, it was announced from that military mission after the ceremony of raising the North Macedonian flag at the headquarters of the Western Regional Command. DZ

He said it was incredible that a group of parliamentarians left Pristina to learn about the position of Albanians in northern Kosovo and Metohija, without asking where the Serbs from Pristina, Obilic, Vushtrri and South Mitrovica were, and why they were 21 years old. . after the conflict there are no:

– I do not know what is a greater shame – what is said about the deprivation of the right to vote in Pristina, which today lacks 40,000 Serbs, or the fact that the debate was started by colleagues from South Mitrovica, where in the former 7,000 Serbs, only one priest lives today, -Hours of police surveillance and fencing.

According to him, northern Mitrovica is the only truly multi-ethnic urban environment in Kosovo, of which he is especially proud as a deputy from that municipality. On the other hand, official data from international institutions indicate that less than two percent of Serbs have been returned to Kosovo, and that this is the only case in the world.

Simic also pointed out that in the north of Mitrovica, in the period from 2014 to 2020, the local self-government renovated 85 houses, of which 43 houses for Albanians, as well as 70 apartments, of which 40 for returned Albanian families.

ROOF FOR EXPELLED FAMILIES

The Sunčana dolina settlement in Zvečan, intended for Serbs displaced from Kosovo, and which was started by the Government of Serbia, began construction in 2016. Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija immediately disapproved, calling the project “colonization” even then.

To such malicious comments that have been repeated for four years, Belgrade responds that it is not possible to talk about the supposed colonization of people who have always lived there, and that they have all the documents, and that the messages about “colonization” actually send a a sign that Serbs are not wanted. By the way, the settlement covers 14.7 hectares and is intended for 300 families.

As part of the renovation of the apartments, each returned Albanian family received complete furniture and appliances, financial support for four months and a grant to generate income of up to 2,000 euros for all concerned. The data are similar for the municipalities of Zvečan, Zubin Potok and Leposavić.

– And what did the Municipality of South Mitrovica do for the displaced Serbs? – Simic asked in the Pristina parliament.
