The Freedom and Justice Party (SAA) sent a request to the mayor of Belgrade, Zoran Radojicic, to resign, because he suggested that nightclubs, in the fight against the pandemic, instead of being closed, turn down the music.
The chairwoman of the SAA’s Belgrade Initiatives Board, Mila Popovic, stated in a written statement that “the city authorities point out that the infection spreads mainly in nightclubs, but that instead of closing them, Radojicic and the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic suggest mute music in clubs. “
“You must not close clubs, and there are dozens or even hundreds, because your criminal associates are holding them and making fun of people and making fun of them by proposing nonsense. It is an even greater shame that you, as a doctor, play with people like that. and their lives. The whole world will laugh at us tomorrow when they hear that in Serbia, as a measure to fight for the crown, quieter music is being introduced into nightclubs, “Popovic said.
He added that the authorities must stop accusing citizens of being guilty of everything that the state and the City of Belgrade did not do in the fight against kovida-19.
Speaking on RTS, Radojicic said that the crisis staff’s decision to limit the number of people both indoors and outdoors to a maximum of five was intended to influence people’s awareness to reduce the number of contacts. He explained that in cafes and restaurants, for example, there will be more people at a certain time, but on the condition that “the prescribed distance of two meters is respected and that one person occupies four square meters.”
“The next meeting is at the beginning of next week, so we will see in relation to the given situation,” he said, adding that one of the suggestions is to reduce the music.
