Dragan Djilas and his brother Gojko control the accounts in Mauritius, Switzerland and Hong Kong, where there are about 10 million euros. It is money that was taken out of Serbia while Djilas was in power, Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said tonight.

He was invited to Hit’s tweet on Pink TV and said that it is not debatable that the leader of the Freedom and Justice Party has money in accounts outside of Serbia, but that it is important to know how it was acquired and whether it was reported.

– More than 10 million euros in few accounts. I am very surprised by the statement from the people of Večernji novosti who said it was just the tip of the iceberg. It is money that was taken out of Serbia while Djilas was in power. Dragan Djilas will not answer questions, the more he accuses and threatens them. On the other hand, it is also a criminal act. It is not a problem to have that much money if you have reported it, acquired it legally or paid taxes. Where did that money come from, how did you earn it, how did you get it out of Serbia? Mali asked.

– These documents are now the subject of the competent authorities. As soon as you have a large number of accounts, countries of companies, it indicates tax evasion or money laundering, it indicates that you are hiding something. It is a fund that manages the money of wealthy clients, including Dragan Đillas.

He also showed the Deutsche Bank property list, an official document:

– On page 5 of this document, you can see that Deutsche Bank was the owner of this company. It is a company that is registered and still operates in the territory of Mauritius. No one has ever said that their money is there and that it is in this institution. This is not the end. He said at a press conference that he had an account in Switzerland. Gojko, Dragan and Paskal Schmidt sign. On the other hand, Novosti published the data they found today, that Pascal Schmidt is being contacted with more than 30 offshore companies in the world. The news announced that Djilas also hides money in Hong Kong companies, the minister stressed.

Mali noted that it is “a huge octopus.”

– About a lot of accounts controlled by Dragan, Gojko and Schmidt, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. It is money that was taken out of Serbia while Djilas was in power, the minister said.

He mentioned that just days before this discovery, the president of Serbia warned Djilas not to say he had no accounts.

– Now that everything turned out to be the other way around, you don’t want to go to the polygraph. When you have so much money it is not a problem to have it if you have paid taxes and if you acquired it legally. When he entered politics, he reported assets worth 75 thousand euros, and ended up with 24 million.

The Minister pointed out once again that there are more than 50 accounts of this type in more than 17 countries.

– It is not only a moral question, it is also a crime question, because the money was taken out of the country while Djilas was in power. When asked if you have an account or not, you say you don’t want to answer that question. You don’t want to answer a single question. You cannot hide the fact that you acquired the money while you were in public office. You who at some point had contact with the state and then reached the point that you are successful entrepreneurs, then it is an opportunity well taken – the Minister emphasized, adding that the people around Dragan Djilas are “in a huge panic”.

Tatjana Macura and Ivica Dačić are also invited to the show.

– In 2014, Dragan Djilas sold Direct Media to a Bulgarian for 17.5 million euros, later it became known that the money was given by Dragan Solak companies. A year later, the same Bulgarian transferred “Direct Media” to the company “Askanius”, and it is determined that Dragan Djilas is behind this. In 2018, Askanius United will sell to Direct Media for 50 and a few million euros. Let the competent authorities now determine whether the tax has been paid – Mali explained.
