BELGRADE – Serbian Finance Minister Siniša Mali declared today that Serbia will “hit the right mark” with the Digital Property Law, and that in doing so it wants to keep up with the world.
“We are going with the regulation of the entire area. Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency is something that has been received in the world, it is a form of financing,” he said on TV Prva Mali. He noted that the law aims to allow small businesses to finance alternatively.
Mali declared that 5,000 dinars will be spent on 1.7 million pensioners on Thursday. He also stated that people are increasingly aware of how important it is to take on a tax bill and pay taxes.
Mali said that at this time, no further deferral of taxes and contributions is being considered.
“Given the economic activity, that we do not have a confinement, that you have the opportunity to pay taxes and contributions in 24 installments, I think it is premature to talk about that,” Mali said.
He pointed out that the state must be financed in some way and that wages and pensions must be paid. Minister Mali said that in the world’s biggest crisis, Serbia shows that it is resilient, that it can react and that its economy is much more stable than they thought.
