Lazar I. (23) from Kraljevo, who is wanted by the police on suspicion of trying to kill Aleksandar Šarc (35) on Saturday in the garage of the “Ušće” shopping center in Belgrade, was identified on the basis of images from the security cameras.

What is not yet known is the motive for the crime, more precisely what connects Lazar I, a “petty criminal” from Kraljevo who stole sneakers from the yard, as described by local police, and Sharca, allegedly a member of the “Pink Panther” gang suspected of robbing a jewelry store. in Milan, from which a napkin worth more than one million euros was taken.
Did Lazar I. go to Šarc on his own initiative, due to some outstanding personal accounts, business or, much more likely, tried to kill a Belgrade citizen on someone’s order?
The second variant, which the investigators believe more, raises the question of who hired the young man from Kraljevo to kill Šarc because he was supposed to kill the Belgrade citizen, but due to a combination of circumstances, he did not follow through on the plan. until the end. Whether he will bear the consequences due to that mistake, for the moment, can only be guessed.
There is no doubt that Lazar I. had good information, logistical support, about Šarc’s movement, as well as that he should have been shot in the head outside the vehicle, because, fearing for his safety, he was wearing bulletproof vests and driving a ” Mercedes “armored.
To determine all the circumstances of this crime, the police are verifying who Lazar I was in contact with and who he cooperated with in the capital to which he moved from his native Kraljevo. It is also investigating whether there may be traces of Lazarus I in some other crimes.
Sharac is not the first to be attacked
Saturday’s shooting is not the first time Sharac has been targeted, but the previous two times his head was saved due to a combination of happy circumstances.
