Following last week’s decision to shorten the working hours of catering establishments to the period from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., a new measure has followed in the fight against the effects of the coronavirus. Starting Tuesday, November 24, cafes, restaurants, clubs and shopping centers will be open on a limited basis, until 6 p.m.

The new restriction for catering services is one of the seven measures prescribed yesterday by the Government of Serbia. These measures, as announced, will begin to be applied and strictly controlled from next week. This, as well as all other measures, is limited to 10 days.

In particular, the reduction in working hours to 6 pm refers to restaurants, cafes, bars, discos, bookmakers and shopping centers.

This measure does not apply to grocery stores, pharmacies, and dispensers.

In addition, the Government has prescribed the provision of work from home to all employees whose work process allows it.

At the same time, a strict control of all measures, including the use of masks, was announced, as well as a ban on all public gatherings with the presence of more than five people, indoors and outdoors. However, as explained, this rule does not include labor organizations, stores, and shopping centers.
