Pašalić spoke with Miroslav Aleksić about the treatment at the district prison

The Protector of Citizens Zoran Pašalić spoke today with Miroslav Aleksić, accused of sexually assaulting students from the acting school, about the treatment and conditions of detention, and after the complaint sent to him by Aleksić’s lawyer, Zoran Jakovljević.

During his visit to the district prison in Belgrade, Pašalić spoke with several other detainees about their accommodation and the ways in which they can exercise their rights, the ombudsman’s office announced.

Miroslav Aleksic has been detained since mid-January due to allegations by former acting school students that he raped and sexually harassed them.

It is suspected that from 2012-2020. on the premises of the Belgrade acting school, whose owner assaulted at least five of his students, two of whom were minors.

Earlier, the media announced that Aleksić was charged with eight criminal acts of rape and five criminal acts of illegal sexual activity.
