The famous folk singer Mitar Mirić is known in pop circles as a man who does not save when it comes to socializing, going out to cafes, and especially when it comes to alcohol. He is not stingy even when he needs to reserve money for a wardrobe, as evidenced by numerous photographs in which we can see him dressed in the latest fashion. It is true that it is incongruous and in bad taste, but not cheap.
However, Mitar saves on little things! We were convinced of that a few days ago when we met him in a swimming pool in Belgrade, where he came to seek relief from the heat and to cool off. We first saw him frolicking in the water and swimming.
He came alone, without his wife, who otherwise never appears in public with him. He spent more than half an hour in the pool, leaning against the wall, wearing dark glasses on his face so that the curious would not recognize him. After that he got out of the water and headed towards the loungers so we changed the angle to take photos too.
But Miric surprised us because he passed several rows of hammocks and it was until the end, where there was a towel next to the table on the concrete. It turned out that he put his things there because, obviously, it did not occur to him to pay 150 dinars for a comfortable lounger. He chose to sunbathe on a hard surface rather than open his wallet, not to mention he was the only guest of the day that set a precedent.
We know that there was a crisis in the pop scene because singers have not performed for a long time due to the coronum virus pandemic, but we are convinced that Mitar belongs to the group of artists whose existence is certain because they have been in business for decades, they have numerous assets and probably some savings.
