Miroslav Tudjman, son of the first Croatian president, passed away

Croatian scientist and politician, member of parliament and son of Franjo Tudjman, Miroslav Tudjman passed away on Sunday night at the age of 75.

Miroslav Tudjman passed away at the “Dr. Fran Mihaljevic” Infectious Disease Clinic in Zagreb, announced the Office of the President of the Croatian Parliament.

Miroslav Tudjman is known as the son of the first Croatian president, Franjo Tudjman.

He was a professor at the Zagreb Faculty of Philosophy and a member of the Croatian Parliament.

At the time his father was president of Croatia, he ran the intelligence service twice, from 1993 to 1998 and from 1999 to 2000.

He obtained 4.1 percent of the vote in the 2009 presidential elections and became a member of Parliament in 2011 as a candidate for the Croatian Democratic Union.

He was born on May 25, 1946 in Belgrade, where Franjo Tudjman was then serving in the General Staff of the Yugoslav Army. He lived in Belgrade until 1961, when the Tudjman family moved to Zagreb.
