The leader of the Democratic Front (DF), Milan Knezevic, said today that the withdrawal of the Law on Religious Freedom is a “condition of all conditions” for the new government of Montenegro. He also points out that there are still no personal solutions for the new Montenegrin government, as Dritan Abazović and his coalition demand that DF Serbs cannot fill important positions.

He announced that he would ask the parliamentary majority to repeal the law before forming the government: “We will ask Zdravko Krivokapic and the parliamentary majority to repeal the law on freedom of religion before signing the government and signing an agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church.” The DF will demand, as a precondition for any agreement on the formation of the government and the red-hot reform laws, that the current parliamentary majority withdraw the anti-Orthodox and anti-Serbian law, ”he said on B92’s Focus program.

Knezevic pointed out that there are still no personal solutions for the new Montenegrin government. “We have not even reached personal solutions because Dritan Abazovic and his black and white coalition demand that DF Serbs cannot fill positions in the MUP, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Administration of Police and ANB. We do not accept blackmail. “Eligible and unsuitable Serbs are being sought in any way,” he added.

He stated that when “Serbs must enter the government and take positions of responsibility, it is desirable that the narrative includes Aleksandar Vučić, Serbia, to get involved and lead to a schizophrenic situation.”

He added that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama made an informal visit to Montenegro yesterday and that “no one asked him where he got the right to interfere in the internal affairs of Montenegro.”
