The new acting editor-in-chief of Politika, the oldest newspaper in the Balkans, is Marko Albunović, it was said today at that newspaper’s college, as the Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) has learned.
Albunović took over as Acting Editor-in-Chief of Politika from Žarko Rakić, who received a decision on retirement on September 10. Politika’s editor change was also registered in the Media Registry, which is maintained by the Business Records Agency.
By the way, Albunović has been Politika’s deputy chief editor up to now.
Žarko Rakić served as Acting Editor-in-Chief for four years and three months, which has not been recorded in Politika’s 116-year history.
