Slobodna televizija, backed by the Enough is Enough Association – RESTART, and whose legal representative is Sasa Radulovic, president of the Enough is Enough movement, along with the Kurir newspaper, accused the SBB legal team of declaring in court that TV N1 is not a medium. They reported that it happened at the preparatory hearing on Slobodna Televizija’s lawsuit against SBB, and that lawyers said H1 “is not a media service provider.” With respect to this claim, the attorneys say that at the aforementioned hearing, which can be seen in the minutes, no such claim was made.

“That information is completely incorrect, it does not correspond to the facts in the minutes or in the case file at the hearing to which the lawyer refers. That is, Slobodna TV sued a legal entity that is not the owner of N1 or the station, in other words H1 in this proceeding is not involved in any way. What I can assume is that the prosecutor really confused who he wants to sue, “said attorney Milos Stojkovic, who represents N1.

He adds that he responsibly asserts that none of the lawyers who attended the hearing stated in a single sentence that H1 is not the media.

“I repeat, N1 does not participate in the specific procedure around which this whole story began. N1 has the permission of the Luxembourg regulatory body to operate in Serbia in full compliance with regulations related to the provision of cross-border television services, all of which it is in accordance with the Electronic Media Law as well as the international conventions that Serbia has signed and ratified, “says Stojković.

This case and the completely incorrect interpretation of the audience were used by the tabloids, especially Kurir, who has been campaigning constantly against H1 for a long time. Among other things, Kurir stated that director Jugoslav Ćosić did not want to answer Kurir’s question on this matter. It is true that Ćosić informed Kurir that he will answer this question when Kurir’s owner Igor Žeželj answers the question from H1 who paid his company Mondo Inc. ten million euros for the purchase of Kurir.

SBB is part of the United Group, which also operates TV N1.
