I appreciate noticing your visit to Brussels, the situation in Kosovo, the upcoming parliamentary elections and the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Lajak wrote on his Twitter account.

Lajak, who met with US Undersecretary of State Philip Reeker in Brussels today, said the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels will not resume until the Kosovo electoral process is completed.

Vjosa Osmani said that earlier, after the previous meeting with the EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Oliver Varheji, and the President of the European Parliament, David Sasoli, and emphasized that at the end of February, until the end of the electoral process in Kosovo . no progress should be expected in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue process.

Tonight, the European Union deleted the controversial tweet describing the interim President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, as the “President of the Republic of Kosovo”, and in the new ad the word “Republic” was missing and only Kosovo remained, writes Kossev.

The European Union announced tonight that EU Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Varhelji and Vjosa Osmani met in Brussels, and in front of the word Kosovo, the original announcement read “Republic”.

This detail was first noticed by some Kosovo media, stating that Brussels “removed the footnote to Kosovo” at the meeting of EU representatives and Vjose Osmani, Kossev said.

Shortly after, the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovi, reacted on Twitter, calling the announcement of the European Union inadmissible.

“According to what agreement and when exactly did the EU recognize the so-called Kosovo? Does that mean that the dialogue is dry? Never in the EU should the law of force be stronger than the law of law. Serbia is not naive, we are committed to dialogue, but we respect ourselves and all signed agreements “That is why we are awaiting a response from the European Commission,” Petkovi wrote.

After that, a new post appeared on the European Union Twitter account, but without the word “Republic”.

Kossev recalled that the agreement on the regional representation of Kosovo, which was reached on February 24, 2012 in Brussels, stipulates that “Kosovo” must be drunk with an asterisk, that is, “star”, and that it is the only name that is will use within regional cooperation.

It implies that, in addition to the blackboard on which Kosovo is written with an asterisk, in all attached documents, the footnote text must be mentioned at least in the first mention of each document, and in the footnote it must be indicated : “this inscription does not prejudge the state of Kosovo and 1244 and the Opinion of the ICJ on the Declaration of Independence of Kosovo”.

Kosovo also uses the EU with asterisks in its official documents, writes Kossev.
