The leader of the Self-Determination Movement, Albin Kurti, assessed on the occasion of the arrest of former KLA leaders in the accusation of the Special Court in The Hague that Kosovo pays the price for political errors, Ekonomija reports online.

“That court is special, now we are paying the price for political mistakes. The court, which was imposed on the state with 82 votes, was accepted and became an integral part of Kosovo. The court is unfair and one-sided,” Kurti said at a press conference.
Speaking about the accusations against the KLA leader, he said there were two elements, Kosovo reports online.
Will the Albanians cause new incidents in Kosovo?
“The prosecution is wrong when it claims that there was a criminal group within the KLA. There was no parallel criminal structure, the allegations of a joint criminal enterprise within the KLA are not true,” said Kurti.
According to him, not only have people been charged in The Hague, and the government should help them defend themselves.
“They all have their lawyers, but they also need state protection. The government must be involved in their defense. At the moment, Kosovo does not have a government that can do that. This is just a minority government,” Kurti said.
He noted that the unit cannot lack legitimacy and that the elections must be held as soon as possible. He stressed that there were no meetings on the subject of the presidential elections.
Self-determination has a parliamentary group of 31 deputies, which is not enough to vote in new elections overthrowing this government, said Kurti, reports Koha.
“We must unite for the war of liberation, but also against Serbia. Therefore, I ask the Prime Minister of Albania that, as approved by the Kosovo Assembly, the resolution be approved by Albania,” added Kurti.
