The French member of the European Parliament, Thierry Mariani, said today that Kosovo is a mafia state and a cancer of the Balkans.

At the meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Mariani criticized the report of the European Parliament rapporteur for Kosovo, Viola von Cramon, in which, among other things, she supported visa liberalization for Kosovo.

“Kosovo is a region of Serbia, which should never have been in the hands of those who run it today. Pristina abolished basic rights, the rule of law, the functioning of democratic institutions. There is human trafficking, organ trafficking. Kosovo is a cancer wound in the Balkans today, “he said. Thierry.

He recalled that the former president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, is accused of war crimes and that Viola von Cramon did not even mention that fact, reports Sputnik, referring to the text of the “Gazeta Express” of Pristina.

“Metastases are spreading in Europe, mafia operations and weapons imported into France from Kosovo. I am concerned about how the rapporteur and most political groups support visa liberalization for Kosovo. The EU supports the mafia state,” he said Mariani.

The French MP called Viola von Cramon’s report on Kosovo unbalanced, blind and ideological.

Following Mariani’s speech, reporter Viola von Cramon said she was shocked by her speech and that Kosovo is not a mafia state.

She suggested that they visit Kosovo together to have the opportunity to speak with the residents there, learn about the situation and assess whether, as she said, it is a mafia state and an arms exporting country.

He added that visa liberalization would not endanger the citizens of France in any way.
