Serbian Minister of Culture and Information Maja Gojković said she was shocked at how far Veljko Belivuk’s criminal group’s connection to culture had come, noting that she had found contracts signed by mob leaders.
“I found, with the help of the Ministry employees, documents that could not be completed without the help of the Ministry itself. “I think it will be revealed how their signatures on certain contracts were finalized,” Gojković told “Vesti” channel.
He mentioned that these documents do not have the signatures of those who previously performed the function of the Minister of Culture, but that it is clear that without the help of this ministry, such agreements could not be signed.
“I see that some places are already mentioned, some commercial premises, that’s what I can say, and that they are related to these criminals … We are close to revealing everything and revealing how this chain passed through the Ministry of Culture,” he said. Gojković, adding that she is careful in her remarks, because the investigation is ongoing.
Gojkovic said that no one could have guessed that criminal groups had “loosed their tentacles” on parts of the culture, and that certain contracts had been discovered with the signatures of those labeled as leaders of the mafia.
“I was surprised, I did not care and it is clear that they are very dangerous people. I am aware that I have to fight against that, that I have no right to hide anything for the sake of my peace, and that is why I took and handed over the papers. “I think it will be revealed how their signatures appeared on certain contracts,” Gojković said.
When asked when he was suspicious of the ministers, Gojković replied that he did not doubt when, but to follow the media and from them you can see if any of the ministers knew what was going on.
