Danijela M.’s mother (7) and her two-year-old younger brother Dragiša, who drowned in Lake Očaga on August 23 and were buried three days later, are not the only abandoned children of Veliki Crnjan’s Dragana Metić.

Two days ago, she buried her two children and left six children earlier, writes “Republika”.

This same mother left her two daughters and four sons in a dilapidated house, left to their own devices, more than 15 years ago.

– The mother left us six children alone and left who knows where and who knows with whom. I have no contact with her or my father. She took our father’s last name. To the unfortunate boys for whom I suffer because they are my half brothers, she gave our last name after a mother, and I don’t know who her father is. I guess they have a relationship with that Christian and they have a girl. I am married and have my own life, my mother is not interested in me, when we were not interested in her when we were little – said Milena, Dragana’s daughter.

Namely, the tragedy when the children drowned occurred at Lake Očaga near Lazarevac. On the fateful day, the children came to the lake with their mother, stepfather and sister for a year and a half. The mother was with her daughter while the children swam in the shallow waters and her stepfather looked after them.

– Kristijan and I were with our daughter in the shallows and we went out, and Danijel and Dragiša stayed in the shallows. They couldn’t swim. It wasn’t even 10 minutes before I asked them to take a look and started calling them. I panicked and Christian and I started looking for them. Rescuers jumped into the water only after an hour. If they had jumped right away, they would have saved them. First they looked around for the children, they ran around the lake and my children drowned – said, among other things, Dragana.
