The rescue operation lasted just over two hours, and the 18 recreationists were evacuated to the main road in the direction of Gornjane-Krivelj.

The recreationalists are members of the Novi Sad citizens’ association and none of them were injured during the action.

Previously, the GSS announced that a group of 18 recreationists were descending towards the Cepe place when they encountered a steep and unmarked path. No one was injured, but the problem is the darkness, as well as the fact that they do not carry any mountaineering equipment, as well as lamps, “the statement added.

The GSS rescuers are said to have brought ropes for rock evacuation, as well as first aid kits in case a group of 18 people is needed to descend.
