Former Serbian Government Health Minister Obren Joksimović died today in Belgrade as a result of a corona infection with the virus, Večernje novosti reported.

Joksimovic was Minister of Health in the Government of Zoran Djindjic and Member of Parliament in the Assembly of Yugoslavia, later Serbia and Montenegro.

He also worked as a war surgeon in the Army of the Republika Srpska from 1991 to 1995.

Obren Joksimović was born in 1952 in Očevlje, in the municipality of Breza.
