BELGRADE – In today’s session, the Government of the Republic of Serbia approved amendments to the Decree on the appearance, form and content of official insignia and official identification cards, which prescribes that persons who are not members of the Ministry Interior officials are prohibited from wearing official badges and identification cards.
The decree also stipulates that natural and legal persons are prohibited from requesting the manufacture, manufacture, marketing, possession or use of an insignia or other mark that contains elements of the visual identity of an official insignia or official identification card of the Ministry of the Interior.
Violations of the provisions of this Regulation are subject to fines. A fine of 100,000 to 150,000 dinars will be imposed on the natural person who possesses or uses an official badge or police card, and they will be confiscated, as established in the Decree.
In addition, a fine of 1.5 to two million dinars will be imposed on a legal entity for a misdemeanor if it requires the production, production, marketing, possession or use of a logo, other brand or mark that contains elements of visual identity of the official badge or employee identification in MUP.
The decree stipulates that the responsible person in the legal entity in this case will also be fined in the amount of 100,000 to 150,000 dinars. Also, a fine of 400,000 to 500,000 dinars will be imposed in this case on an entrepreneur, as well as a natural person with 100,000 to 150,000 dinars.
All the aforementioned persons will be deprived of their identification card or badge that contains elements of the visual identity of the official badge or official identification card of the Ministry of the Interior. The Regulation will enter into force on the eighth day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
