Prime Minister Ana Brnabić welcomes the plane with a donation from Bahrain.
The plane, which landed at the “Nikola Tesla” airport in Belgrade, contains protective medical equipment to combat the corona virus.
– I would like to thank the Kingdom of Bahrain for the generous donation, which is one of the most important. During January, we received 5 aircraft from Bahrain, and on those 5 aircraft more than 67 tons of medical equipment. There are 20 respirators in the latter – said the Prime Minister.
– On November 24, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić spoke with the King of Bahrain and they discussed improving political and economic relations, and during that conversation, the ruler of Bahrain offered all support and assistance to Serbia in the fight against coronavirus we need – said the Prime Minister. airport.
As a result of that conversation, five planes arrived with 67.5 tons of medical equipment.
According to him, the Government of Serbia will work diligently to improve political and economic relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Prime Minister said that this is proof of the reputation that Serbia and President Aleksandar Vučić enjoy in the world, and that she speaks enough about the importance of having friends all over the world.
He sent an invitation to the King of Bahrain to visit Serbia.
Regarding the distribution of aid, the Prime Minister said that it will be distributed according to the needs of health institutions and the health system.
– Bahrain is a country with a very significant geostrategic influence and we will strive to commit ourselves to creating the best possible relationships.
The Government of Serbia announced that this is one of the largest individual donations to Serbia since the beginning of the corona virus epidemic.
