Marinika Tepic’s care for RTS’s finances was delayed. It’s too late. They should have dealt with them at a time when the Government of Serbia, headed by the then party of their political leader, was not meeting the legal obligation of stable and sufficient RTS funding.
I found RTS with 18 million euros of debt with banks, 23 million euros of debt with the Government of Serbia (spent on the payment of salaries), 24 million euros of debt with various suppliers. RTS was over-indebted and operating at a loss since 2007.
During my tenure, RTS paid off the debt to the banks, began to pay the debt to the Government of Serbia and paid all its other obligations in less than 60 legal days. We duly pay all obligations to the State, about 18 million euros a year in taxes and contributions.
Today, the contract with RTS serves the companies that cooperate with us as a pledge for a new loan. Banks believe in the stability and good finances of RTS, which is probably reason enough for Marinika Tepic’s new “concern” this time about the fate of the bank.
And finally, after seven years of losses, RTS made a profit in the first year of my tenure, which was so high last year that we paid a tax of 4.5 million euros on it.
Because we have had stable funding since 2016, and sufficient funding since 2018, and because we have acted at the national level in these five years, for the first time in the history of RTS, cable channels have been made for both radio and television, and television. it has begun to be broadcast digitally. (replay system created), Internet platform launched Planet which allows RTS to be seen and heard around the world, has cameras installed in all television studios, the RTS gallery and Club in Svetogorska was opened, the synchronized room was opened, the archive digitization center was created , a new RTS data management center with its own cloud was opened, a secure room was launched, a defense system against intrusion into RTS work processes, a single central information desk was opened.
I have no doubt that Marinika Tepic is extremely concerned about these RTS hits.
