ARANĐELOVAC – Dragan Lazović (84), a suspect in the murder of his wife, was questioned at the Superior Prosecutor’s Office and it is now suspected that he had full knowledge of his actions and wanted to commit this crime.
The prosecutor ordered a further investigation and proposed a detention of up to 30 days. The results of the autopsy showed that Georgina Lazović died as a result of a strangulation.
– DL is suspected of physically assaulting his wife with a wooden stick after the fight, then strangling him, after which he died on the spot. He was sane and there is reason to suspect that he wanted to commit this act, Marija Mladenović of the Superior Prosecutor’s Office told Kurir.
According to the circumstances known so far from the investigation, the spouses first argued and then had a heated discussion about “things of the past”. The crime probably occurred in the hall of the house where they lived in the Vrbice settlement in Arandjelovac.
Suspect Dragan, a father of two, is now retired and used to work as a professional driver. After the tragedy in the Lazović family that occurred around midnight, the grandson of the murder suspect reported to the police.
