The Nis University Clinical Center (UCC Nis) confirmed tonight that the doctor of that health institution, Boban Rajković (32), died at the Kovid Hospital in Batajnica.
A statement posted on the Nis University Medical Center website said Rajković was admitted to the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Clinic two years ago as one of the top graduates of the Nis Faculty of Medicine.
“Unfortunately, at the end of December last year, Rajković was diagnosed with an acute and very serious liver disease, so he was sent to the Serbian University Clinical Center for further treatment and diagnosis in early January this year.” they said at the Niš University Medical Center.
In mid-February, they added in that health institution, it was determined that Rajković tested positive for the coronavirus, after which he was transferred to the Kovid hospital in Batajnica, where he died.
“We have lost a promising and hard-working young doctor and we sympathize with his family’s grief,” UCC Nis said in a statement.
