ROTTERDAM – Dutch police arrested a 31-year-old Serbian citizen in Rotterdam, a tenant of a house in which 4.5 million euros were found in a cistern!
According to the Prosecutor’s Office of that country, it is money acquired through criminal activities.
The house was initially suspected of being illegally occupied, but was later found to be leased. During the search of the premises, the Dutch police found millions of euros in large denominations in the cistern.
The identity of the Serbian, the tenant of the house, nor how long he stayed in the Netherlands or if he was arrested for any criminal activities was not announced.
Apart from the fact that the prosecution affirmed that the money was obtained from criminal activities, it was not specified which ones. Given that the house was rented in Rotterdam, the largest port in Europe, which receives many shipments from South America, and therefore large quantities of cocaine, the possibility that millions of euros were used to buy drugs cannot be ruled out. They will earn themselves in the drug business.
