Musicians and singers, like many other people, were affected by the coronavirus pandemic, and for this reason, the state came to their aid. They haven’t acted for months and the costs are mounting, many of them have complained publicly.
Many performers who enjoy independent artist status received this financial support from the state, at the request of the Independent Union of Pop Artists of Serbia, which applied to the Ministry of Finance for financial assistance for its members.
One of the association’s members is reportedly singer Ivan Gavrilović, who reportedly received 90,000 dinars from the state.
– I was one of the initiators and the union that deserved it. There are also jazz musicians and others who received help. Due to some circumstances, I obtained the right to have the city pay for my internship, he said, adding:
– I don’t think it’s necessary to make a fuss, everyone got a minimum. Someone has a box, someone does not – supposedly added.
