“I am satisfied with the verdict and it was a cheap way of fairly and correctly solving a case that had no foundation from the beginning, and which was carried out in the situation of bomb attacks by the tabloid media, which did not we wanted to respond, “Vesna, Andjus’s lawyer, told Danas. Golubovic.

Andjus was arrested on June 30, 2017, and the police released a video in which he took an envelope with money from the injured party.

The journalist pointed out on several occasions that the whole affair was rigged for political reasons. According to the media, Andjus said in his final remarks at the trial that it was a political hoax backed by the very top of the state, namely the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

Andjus claimed that he had been friends with Vučić for almost 30 years, but that it was decided that he would be liquidated politically after he began to criticize the government in its programs, the Nova.rs portal reported.

He rejected claims that he tried to extort money from Markovic, saying he owed him money and that he himself initiated the repayment of the money.
