Starting today, new restrictive measures have been introduced in Kosovo and Metohija to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, including curfews from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

All shops, shopping centers, hotels, restaurants and bars can be open until 8:00 p.m., and people over 65 years of age can leave home between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., unless they have a certificate or document. they must go beyond that period.

All persons entering the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, including those with permanent residence, must have a negative PCR test of no more than 72 hours, while foreigners in transit through Kosovo and Metohija can go five hours without a test if they travel by bus or car, or up to three hours if traveling by plane.

Under the new rules, workers with chronic illnesses, pregnant and lactating women do not have to come to work and can work from home, and working from home is recommended to all who can.

It is prohibited to organize celebrations until the end of the year, gather more than four people in public places, as well as organize weddings and birthday celebrations, and the school holidays have been extended until January 18.

The new rules also include the division of municipalities into three categories: low, medium and high risk, depending on how many people have contracted kovida-19 per 100,000. Museums, theaters, libraries, galleries, cinemas, youth centers and cultural centers can be open until 8 pm, but only if they use 30% of their capacity. Sports activities are allowed for individual workouts. As stated, all these measures are valid until further notice.
