A large number of citizens of the Church of St. Mark paid their respects and marked a thousand days since the murder of Oliver Ivanović.

In front of the church were the leaders of the United Opposition of Serbia, who also invited to this meeting.

As the H1 reporter reported, the impression was spoiled by the situation that happened at the entrance of the church, where Simo Spasić was, who was told by a woman that he had no place there. Then the citizens met and everything ended in peace.

The gathered people symbolically lit a thousand candles.

We remind you that the indictment in the Ivanovic case was filed by the Pristina Special Prosecutor’s Office in December 2019 and contained the names of the persons accused of criminal acts, which refer to the organization and assistance in the commission of the murder. Meanwhile, the prosecution was returned for a new trial, based on the decision of the Court of Appeals, which accepted the defense appeals of the defendants.

Despite the parallel Belgrade and Pristina investigations and the prosecution, the perpetrator of Oliver Ivanovic’s murder is still unknown. Ivanovic was assassinated on January 16, 2018 in northern Kosovska Mitrovica.
