Tomislav Momirović, the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, appointed his godfather Miloš Adamović to state office after just one month. That is, by decision of the Government of Serbia on November 26, 2020, Adamović was appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the public company “Roads of Serbia”, which is under the authority of the ministry headed by Momirović.
Gossip about the government
The decision on the appointment was posted on that company’s website, and Kurir’s source from Nemanjina 11 says that everyone knew who he was from the beginning. – Everyone in the government knows that Adamović is Momirović’s godfather. That decision on the appointment was adopted in the session of the Government and there were no comments. However, rumors began to circulate in the corridors that Momirović did not need that – to begin his tenure by placing his people in public companies – says the source of our newspaper. That Miloš Adamović is Momirović’s godfather, can be concluded by checking the minister’s Instagram profile. On this social network, Momirović regularly posts photos with Adamović for years. Some of the photos are from cafes in Belgrade, some from trips around Serbia and the region, and there are also from trips to Amsterdam. In some of their joint photographs, where there are only two of them, the description says “godfather”.
Justification
Momirović claims for Kurir that Adamović is qualified for the position for which he was appointed.
– Miloš Adamović has an enviable experience of many years in public administration, as well as in the private sector. He worked in the positions of director of the public company for the development of mountain tourism “Stara planina”, executive director of AMS insurance and management of the financial and commercial sector of the Serbian Auto-Moto Association, as well as in a position of responsibility at the Ministry of Finance. Adamovic is fully qualified for the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Council of “Serbian Roads”, fulfills all the requirements prescribed by the Law on Public Enterprises and is competent to respond in the most effective way to all tasks that this function entails , says Momirovic and adds:
– When I was elected Minister of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure, I was given the mandate to gather a team of professionals to achieve very ambitious goals in sectors that are the most important growth generators of our economy and I have no doubt that they will comply with The expectations.
Loss of money
“Roads” wanted to give five million for the logo
Judging from the public procurement plan, PE “Roads of Serbia”, headed by Zoran Drobnjak, intended to give up to five million dinars for the redesign of the company logo. This decision sparked public ire, both because of the outrageous price and the situation in which the acquisition is planned, during the coronavirus epidemic. On social media, “Putevi” even offered to make its logo for free, and for the company to redirect the money for the treatment of sick children. Drobnjak did not return calls and messages with questions yesterday.
However, Minister Momirović announced yesterday that he was relinquishing the new “Roads of Serbia” logo and had stopped recruiting.
